iRacing makes use of a Content Delivery Network (CDN) to make downloads available to members. 


The No Preference option will assign you to our preferred CDN at the time of downloading.


If you are making this change as a result of downloads getting stuck or that would not start, you should delete the contents of the \downloads\updates folder before restarting the download.


By default, this location is:


C:\Program Files (x86)\iRacing\downloads\updates


To change your CDN preference, follow the steps below.


iRacing UI & iRacing Web

  1. Log in to the UI or iRacing Web at (https://members-ng.iracing.com)
  2. Click on the helmet menu in the upper right, then Account.
  3. Select the Connection section at the top of the screen.
  4. Choose Limelight or CloudFront in the drop down for Content Delivery Network.



Legacy Membersite

  1. Log in to the Membersite at https://members.iracing.com.
  2. Select My Info from the menu
  3. Scroll to the bottom of this page and then choose Limelight or CloudFront in the drop down next to Choose A Content Delivery Network in the Preferences section
  4. Click Save
