My iRacing UI won't launch, or loads a black or white screen, what should I do?
Step 1: Restart the iRacing Service | Open a file browser and navigate to the iRacing installation directory (typically C:/Program Files (x86)/iRacing or C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/iRacing if installed from Steam)). Double click to run the file Stop_iRacingService.bat, then do the same for Start_iRacingService.bat. Within this folder, go to the UI folder. Double click to run the iRacingUI.exe directly. |
Step 2: Delete the Local UI Cache | Open a file browser and in the address bar type %appdata% and press enter. Delete the iracing-electron folder, then attempt to launch the UI again. |
Step 3: Disable Firewalls | The UI needs to retrieve some resources from the internet and if certain elements are blocked the UI will fail to load. Disable any machine-level and network-level firewalls and attempt to launch the UI again. |
Step 4: Update Graphics Drivers | There are some cases where graphics driver issues can interfere with the loading process for the UI. Performing a new installation of up-to-date drivers, and check the Clean Install checkbox during the install process. |
Step 5: Collect Log Files and Contact iRacing Support | All log files for the iRacing UI are stored in the Documents\iRacing\logs folder. Create a zip file out of this folder and send it to support@iracing.com along with a description of your issue. |
