If your account is active:

  1. Log in to your iRacing account through the desktop launcher or your browser at members-ng.iracing.com

  2. Click your helmet icon

  3. Select Account

  4. Under Account Info, locate your display name and click Request Change

  5. Review and agree to the three required policies. You will not be able to continue until all policies are accepted.

  6. Click Continue

  7. Enter your desired display name

  8. Enter the reason for your name change

  9. Click Submit Name Change Request

If the name is already in use:
You will see the message “This name is not available. Please try another.”
You can submit another request with a different variation of your name.


If the name is available:
Review the confirmation pop-up and click Cancel or Confirm & Submit Request.

Once a request has been submitted, it cannot be modified. Multiple name change requests cannot be submitted simultaneously for the same account.

Our team will review your request, and you will receive an email notification once a decision has been made.


Requests are processed in the order they are received and typically take a few business days.


If your account is inactive, you are under the age of 18 or if your request involves multiple accounts, please email support@iracing.com for further assistance with your name change request.
