If you are receiving an insufficient graphics message when attempting to open the iRacing UI, please take the steps below.

1. Confirm your PC meets the minimum requirements to run the sim.

The most common cause of this issue is attempting to open the iRacing UI on a PC that doesn't have a dedicated/ discrete graphics card. Integrated/ onboard graphics aren't capable of running the sim.

You can check whether your PC meets the requirements to run the sim by using the tool at the link below.

If your PC meets/ exceeds all requirements and you are receiving this message, confirm your monitor is connected to an HDMI port or DisplayPort on your dedicated/ discrete graphics card and not your motherboard's graphics output.

Please note that you can use the web UI on a PC that can't run the sim/ doesn't have iRacing installed on it to view upcoming series, create hosted or league sessions, etc. The web UI is available at the link below.

2. Update your graphics card driver.

If you've taken the steps above, but your dedicated/ discrete graphics card isn't being used or identified when opening the iRacing UI, it is possible that there is an issue with the GPU driver.

Download the NVIDIA App or AMD's Adrenalin Edition and install the latest driver for your graphics card. During the install process, select Custom Install > Clean Install.

3. Adjust manufacturer's software and power plan settings.

If you are using a laptop, open the manufacturer's software and adjust the 'hybrid graphics' settings so the dedicated/ discrete graphics card is being used.

Adjust Windows plan settings to the highest possible setting, and confirm the laptop is connected to wall power (and not running on battery power), restart the laptop, and check to see if this resolves the issue.

If the steps above don't resolve (or help you identify) the issue, please collect the info below and send it to support@iracing.com
