2026 Season 4 Patch 2 Release Notes [2026.11.02.01]

iRacing Simulator

—---------------------------------------------------------

Audio

Improved some processing of audio device change/failure to prevent Simulator errors.

Race Control

The wait timer used to hold participants starting from the pits has been increased at all tracks. This is to optimize traffic flow for these drivers joining the racers already on the track.

When DNC Cautions are in use, fixed an issue where a car's next lap crossing was incorrectly being counted when starting a caution on the first lap ahead of the leader.

Fixed an issue with scoring when a caution was thrown during the start of a Feature race.

Several more issues with multiple pace car multi-class starts have been fixed in preparation for this features release, including:

Improved the pacing behavior of the pace car in restart zones.

Fixed an issue where the spotter could tell you to catch a random car number while pacing.

Fixed an issue where “Maintain Speed” could erroneously be displayed for a class as their pace car crossed the finish line.

At road courses with split start and finish lines, fixed an issue where the slow down messages were not showing in the pace order UI once a pace car crossed the finish line.

The multiple pace car multiclass starts feature is now in a place where we are assessing the timing and placement of enabling it in the closing weeks of the current season. Please stay tuned for which Official Series may have this exciting new feature enabled!

User Interface

For the Track Map Widget, fixed an issue where vehicles entering Silverstone GP pit lane fly around the map inaccurately.

For the Pit Summary Widget, fixed a bug where the optional repair display wouldn't reset when the car was reset.

For the Pit Summary Widget, added an option to display pit errors.

The default setting is OFF, so they will initially display in the Pit Speed Widget.

For the Pit Speed Widget, added pit errors, such as, "Too Far Left!", "Too Much Damage!", etc. These error messages are toggleable.

When the pit errors and pit lane map are both enabled, the errors will appear in place of the pit lane map.

For the Damage Report Widget, fixed an issue where it can appear after crossing the line, but disappears after a start zone under certain circumstances.

For the pop-out version of the Driver Inputs interface, fixed an issue with setting for steering and speed.

For the Camera Tool, fixed an issue where the full range of FOV on triple screens was not available until Settings was opened.

Fixed a Simulator crash that could occur when saving a HUD profile when running a triple monitor setup while rendered separately.

Fixed an issue where some checkboxes could be outside the interface bounds when a time value reached 4 digits.

Fixed an issue where the pace car would not appear at the top of the Focus Car Selection menu.

Controls

A new flag has been added for Simucube users: [Force Feedback] simucubeTreatLinkPortAsWheel=1.

Set this to 0 to block iRacing from trying to check if the Simucube link port has a wheel connected. This may be useful if you have Simucube active pedals, but no Simucube wheel, and iRacing is accidentally shutting the force feedback effects off.

Cars

—---------------------------------------------------------

<Car Class> Supercars - 2019

Removed an obsolete lightmap.

<Car Class> Super Formula SF23

Improved the Tech Inspection processes with these vehicles to prevent failing tech with no visible reason shown in the garage.

<Car Class> [Legacy] NASCAR Cup Series Gen 6

For the damage model, adjusted scrape damage progression for the nose mounts.

BMW M2 Racing (G87)

Drivetrain inertia has been increased to fix an issue where the rear-end could lock after rapid successive upshifts. This also addresses the tendency for this car to spin out instantly if double shifting from 5th to 7th.

(420R) - Fixed an issue where a moon launch or Simulator crash could occur in certain collisions with this vehicle.

Fixed a typo in the garage menu.

Dirt Big Block Modified

iRacing setups have been updated to fix ride height failures.

Dirt Sprint Car

(ALL) - Fixed an issue where brake bias adjustment was unintentionally available via control bindings.

EURO NASCAR V8GP

Fixed an issue where heavy steering loads and oscillations could occur when driving over 3D curbing.

Porsche 911 Cup (992.2)

Fixed an issue where the vehicle model and windshield wipers seen at certain camera distances could be the incorrect versions.

Porsche 963 GTP

Fixed an issue where damage in the mid-section was being represented incorrectly in the Car Damage Widget.

Tracks

—---------------------------------------------------------

Road Atlanta

Fixed an issue with visual popping of brake markers at Turn 10.
